Le Suquet, the old town of Cannes
Above the bay, Le Suquet is the Cannes that existed before La Croisette. Medieval lanes, a Provençal market in the morning, a panoramic view over the sea — here the city keeps its character. This is where the people of Cannes actually live, away from the commotion of the palace hotels.
Résidence du Suquet stands in the heart of this quarter, at 17 Rue Louis Perrissol. Four hundred metres from La Croisette, nine hundred metres from the Palais des Festivals — close enough to walk everywhere, far enough to sleep in peace.
The Cannes Film Festival
Every May, Cannes becomes the world capital of cinema. The red carpet, official screenings, premieres — everything takes place 900 metres from the residence.
The residence is ideally placed to enjoy the Festival without the noise: quiet in the evenings, central during the day. May availability books early. If you are planning a stay during the Festival, reserve well in advance.
La Croisette and the beaches
The boulevard de la Croisette runs along the Mediterranean for two kilometres. Four hundred metres from the residence, you will find the great fashion houses, the historic palace hotels — the Martinez, the Carlton, the Majestic — and access to the private beaches.
Outside the Festival, Cannes remains a first-rate destination all year round. The beaches are open from April, the Forville market runs every morning, and the restaurants of the old port are worth the detour.
